About our departments
Communications
The communications team designs and runs the GYC Canada website and store, as well as social media including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. The team runs all audio and visual services during the annual conference. If you are tech-savvy or interested in graphic design and social media, this is the team for you!
Networking
The networking team plans and runs a variety of fun and interactive events throughout the year across Canada. Due to COVID-19, most of these programs are currently online, so you may participate from anywhere in the country. The events include ADRA Canada meal ration challenges, youth rallies, prayer meetings and more.
Missions
The missions team plans and executes exciting missions right here in Canada, including large multi-day health
clinics (Compassion Health BC) and mission trips (Kitwanga BC 2022). Help is needed in the organization and
planning of these exciting missions.
NOTE: If you are interested in volunteering for this department, it is expected that you are
willing to attend the mission projects.
Programming
The programming team plans everything that happens on the stage at a GYC Canada conference. This ranges from
selecting the conference themes and plenary speakers, choosing topics and speakers for seminars, planning
the music, outreach activities and hospitality!
NOTE: If you are interested in volunteering for this department, it is expected that you are
willing to attend the Ontario conference August 18-21, 2023.
Logistics
The logistics team plans everything that happens off the stage at a GYC Canada conference. This includes
selecting a venue and participating in site visits, planning the conference meals, registration, stage decor,
exhibit booths and much more. This is one of the busiest teams of GYC Canada but we have a lot of fun too!
NOTE: If you are interested in volunteering for this department, it is expected that you are
willing to attend the Ontario conference August 18-21, 2023.
Evangelism
The evangelism team is not currently active. When it is active, it focuses on planning and running summer literature evangelism programs (ie. Youth Rush) across Canada. Please choose a different department to volunteer in with GYC Canada. You may indicate that you’d like to be notified when this department is active.
